I came to Shay as a last ditch effort to try and improve my chronic joint issues, back pain, and recurrent neck injury. She creates workout programs that are designed specifically to support your particular body issues, and let me tell you, she is really good at it! I never thought I would be into weight training... but after two months, my lower back pain is markedly better, as is the pain caused by a meniscus tear in my knee (I did a 2-day, 20 mile hike with no problem recently, + can run a few miles again), and I really just love the feeling of the workouts - I always look forward to my gym days. For anyone with loose joints (or any other body imbalances), I cant recommend this kind of training highly enough. Feeling my body get stronger and hold itself together better is really rewarding, grounding and relieving. + Shay roots for you all along the way (as much as she maybe wants to come off as a hardass, she's really a big teddy bear ;))
